The RYCA Rockwall Nebbie Football Team from 6th Grade Nebbie Williams has secured a 2nd seed in the upcoming playoffs. They have finished the regular season with a 6-2 record.


The 6th grade football division is composed of 5 teams in the RYCA Premier Football League, and have played competition outside of Rockwall. The playoffs will feature the top 4 teams battling it out for the right to play the 2013 Super Bowl at Rockwall's Wilkerson Sanders Stadium in Rockwall, Texas. The HHCA Heath Hawks finished the season 7-1 with their only loss to the RYCA Nebbie Jackets. They will face the winner of the Heath Hawks B team and the RYCA Jackets from Hartman.


The RYCA Rockwall Jackets from Nebbie will play their first round against the hard charging Rockwall Jackets from Hays. This will be a strong fight between to first class teams that have split the regular season with one victory each. Both of these teams will ultimately play together in middle school going up against the rest of the district, but on this particular Saturday- they will fight for the right to play against the HHCA Heath Hawks all-star squad who has had the same core team together for the last 6 years.


The RYCA Rockwall Jackets 6th Grade Nebbie Team consist of 70% of the players who have never put on shoulder pads before. However, don't tell them that because they are looking forward to representing the community of Rockwall and everything it stands for. This will be a battle that the kids will remember for years to come as they become future Rockwall High School Jackets Varsity Football players and compete for the State Championship Title!


Featured from Left to Right are Captains Lake Johnson, Tyler Ashworth, Joseph Schaefer, and Tanner Webb. Lake, a first year player leads the team in extra point field goals and earned a starting position on both sides of the ball. Tyler is the undisputed leader of the team always giving 100% on the field. He quarterbacks the offense with his arm and legs making the highlight real every time he touches the ball. Joseph is the teams leading tackler on the Jackets defense taking on players twice his size, and bringing them down to earth. Tanner is the Rockwall Jackets enforcer delivering punishing blows when he runs the ball or plays one of the outside linebacker positions.
