RYCA Jackets Football!

Coach Ashworth stated at the beginning of the game between the RYCA Nebbie Jackets 6th Grade Football game against the RYCA Hays Jackets youth football team that the defense had to make at least 3 stops to assure a victory.

The RYCA Nebbie Jackets defense gave him a little extra recovering a fumble, and intercepting the ball twice. However, it was a key 60 yard pick six by Outside Linebacker Tanner Webb who helped change the momentum of the game.

With the Hays Jackets running down the field behind star quarterback Zach Henry; Tanner read the pass in the flat on the strong side stepping in front of the receiver to make a nice steal. However, his impressive 60 yard scamper avoiding the Hays athletes all the way down the field turned the game into the Nebbie Jackets Youth Football Team's favor.

This is the third interception for a touchdown the Jackets team has converted this season, and Defensive Player of the Game, Tanner Webb's second.

After the run, Tanner fell back in the end zone just like the picture shown here. Unfortunately the refs thought he was celebrating and called a penalty. (However, after the game- they did say the celebration was pretty!)

The RYCA Rockwall Nebbie Jackets defeated the RYCA Hays Jackets 38-30 in a Wednesday night shootout.
