Early in the game starting quarterback Tyler Ashworth went down with an injury, but excellent play by Tanner Webb kept the RYCA Rockwall Jackets 6th Grade Nebbie Youth Football Team in control. The Jackets Football Team easily defeated the HHCA Heath Hawks by a score of 28-0. Tanner Webb led the Jackets to 2 scores and played a very strong defensive game as well intercepting the Hawks.
It was cold and rainy, but Webb didn't allow the weather to be an excuse guiding the Jackets up and down the field at will.
Tanner ran for over 50 yards and had several key passes including a touchdown pass to Chase Burkey. In addition to showing star quality, Tanner used the Heath Hawks football the entire game just to prove that it wasn't the ball that allowed the Jackets to win (as suggested by HHCA Heath Hawks in the first loss to the Jackets last week 33-0).
The Rockwall Youth Community Athletics (RYCA) Jackets are proud to be a part of the Rockwall County Community as a premier youth sports program. The RYCA has a strong commitment to principles and strives to be a community-driven organization with the genuine participation of athletes, volunteers, parents, family members, teachers, school administrators and local businesses.
