The Battle of the Unbeaten takes place Wednesday at Wisdom Field

The city of Rockwall will be celebrating the Rockwall High School Football during the homecoming parade, but at 6:30 PM the lights at Wisdom Field (Dobbs Elementary) will feature some of the top 6th graders who plan to be future High School Yellowjackets.

The RYCA Nebbie Jackets Football Team will play the RYCA Hays Jackets team under the lights.  Both teams enter the game at 2-0 and boast high power offenses designed after Head Varsity Coach Rodney Webb’s Pistol Formation.  Last game these two played (not each other); the Hays team scored 38 points while the Nebbie Jackets put up 42.  The game should come down to the team with the strongest defense, and with several high profile players it will be a true battle.

Hays Jackets are led by speedster Zach Henry surrounded by Marshal Frost and Kade Klinkowski.  All three players suited up against the Nebbie Jackets in the Battle X Tournament held at Cowboys Stadium in August.  Both teams ended in an 18-18 tie.

The Nebbie Jackets are led by quarterback Tyler Ashworth, Linebacker Joseph Schaefer, Running backs Tanner Webb and Cody Rollins.  They were not happy about the tie at the Battle X tournament tie, and look to come out strong Wednesday Night.

Youth Football in Rockwall has taken on a whole new meaning in the year 2013.  The Rockwall Community Football Association is the only youth football organization aligned with the Rockwall High School Football Yellowjackets according to Head Coach Rodney Webb.  This is an organization that is teaching the fundamentals of how to play football, but also lessons that can be carried forward in life.

It won’t be long before the boys are playing on the same team in high school, but for now; Rockwall will get to enjoy these kids answering the challenge on Wednesday Night at Wisdom Field.

Get your STINGERS UP!  Go Jackets!
