RYCA Rockwall Jackets Nebbie 6th Grade Football Team plays to a tie versus 6th Grade Hays Jackets with a strong running performance from Quarterback Tyler Ashworth at Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The Nebbie Jackets, one of six 6th grade Rockwall Football teams, participated in the Battle X football preseason tournament. Tyler Ashworth led all runners with 103 yards rushing and accounted for 3 touchdowns running for two, and throwing for one to Tanner Webb. Cody Rollins & Joseph Schaefer each had 5 yards with 2 carries apiece.
The Nebbie Jackets proved they could score at will even having two touchdowns called back because of penalties.
The defense was dominant at times, but also showed that they were still in preseason form giving up 98 Net total yards. Howie Morgenthaler had a total of 5 tackles with one sack. Joseph Schaefer recorded 4 tackles with 3 sacks and one forced fumble. Tyler Ashworth added 4 strong tackles to go with his offensive performance followed by Tanner Webb with 3, Cody Rollins (3), Lake Johnson (2), Ben Tschoerner (2)and Zach Elsey, Bryce Sweeney, & Brendan Murray with 1 tackle apiece.
This was an experience the boys and parents will never forget as they were recorded on the Worlds Largest "Big Screen" at Cowboy Stadium.
